This fantastic course is a great way to learning to weave your very own tapestry! You will learn all the skills you need to create a small tapestry weaving.
Weaving is perfect for those looking to unwind with a meditative hobby or explore a new form of artistic expression. These workshops will guide you through the process of creating your own small woven tapestry.
In the first session, we will learn how to warp a wooden frame loom, prepare the foundations for your tapestry, select colours, textures and materials. The second session will focus on weaving techniques and simple shapes. In the third session, we will practice a some weaving patterns and learn how to finish our tapestries, preparing them for display.
Your tutor Olga will take you through all of the processes in a step by step approach, offering support and time for questions.

No prior experience is needed, all workshops are designed for beginners.
No, all materials will be provided, but they are welcome to bring any materials or inspiration that they would like to work with – or a simply frame loom if they already have one.
Please note that the workshop is held upstairs. Refreshments are included in the fee, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. The workshops at LilyBoo have brought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
Should you need to cancel the workshop a full refund will be issued 28 days prior to the workshop. If cancelled with less than 28 days until the workshop unfortunately no refund will be issued. If for any reason, we have to cancel the workshop a full refund will be issued, or you can transfer onto the next available workshop.
