In this exciting new workshop, we will be up-cycling a quilt into your choice of either a short jacket or a waistcoat. The workshop includes your own pattern created by the LilyBoo team which you can adapt to suit your size.  You will be helped to discuss the best features of your quilt and how to use these to make your jacket or waistcoat.
We will cut out the garment from your quilt, sew and learn how to finish with bias
tape. You will be guided through every step of the process, discussing if you’d like to add pockets, where you’d like to bind or hem, making your garment truly yours.
Due to the fluid and creative nature of this project, everyone’s quilt will be different, and each garment created will be unique.  If can choose to make the waistcoat which is a simpler construction or the jacket which is slightly more complex, but you are free to choose either garment to make.
If you do not complete your garment in the time of the workshop, all information on how to finish your garment at home will be discussed with you. We want you to enjoy the creation you work on with us and not be under the pressure of a time constraint.
