This workshop will take you through each step of making your own lampshade and you will have the skills to continue on to make lots more! You will be supplied with your frame and we will be covering:
Preparing and binding your frame for use
Creating your pattern
Measuring, cutting and fitting your outer fabric
Hand stitching using the lampshade stitch your outer fabric
Fit your hand stitched lining
Create your trims, either through creating bias binding or fitting a ready made trim
Its a great workshop to really understand all the techniques used in traditional lampshade making.
Complete beginner or someone wanting to have a reminder about how to make a lampshade.
Hayley (the Boo in LilyBoo) who is experienced in making lampshades and will guide you through each step of the process.
We will supply the lining, thread, needles, binding and frame, please ensure you bring fabric with you. Hayley will call to discuss this with you before the course.
Refreshments are included in the fee, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. The workshops at LilyBoo have brought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.

If cancelled with less than 28 days until the workshop unfortunately no refund will be issued. If for any reason, we have to cancel the workshop a full refund will be issued, or you can transfer onto the next available workshop.
