Zero waste design is an exciting concept where every inch of a piece of fabric is used in the creation of a new garment. Textile waste is something most sewists don’t like. We all keep scraps in the hope we can use them for another project or “it’ll come in handy one day”. In this workshop we I’ll look at what makes zero waste patterning such an exciting aspect to explore, briefly looking at how it’s been used through history. We will then spend our time making a top, dress or jacket from one single length of fabric.
Suitable for anyone comfortable with using a sewing machine.
Our very own Morgan will be leading this workshop.
Please note that the workshops are held upstairs. Once upstairs, the workshop space is on the same floor as the kitchen and bathroom. Refreshments are included in the fee. The workshops at LilyBoo have bought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
