This workshop is a great opportunity to learn the art of freemotion embroidery, at a beginners level. You will enjoy the freedom of drawing with your machine to create your own artwork. This in-depth beginner’s class covers everything you need to know to learn this technique, from setting up your machine and what equipment you will need, to top tips and handy advice to get the most out of this wonderfully creative technique. Throughout the day you will be taught the skills and techniques required, by producing several small samples, growing in confidence as you become more skilled at the technique. Ending the day by producing a lovely piece of freemotion artwork using the raw edge applique technique.
This is a great workshop for a beginner or someone wanting a refresher.

You will need to bring the following materials and equipment:
ï‚· Sewing Machine, lead and pedal. If you have an extra wide table for your machine, please bring that as well.
ï‚· Freemotion embroidery foot
ï‚· Plain white felt or similar stable fabric for the various practice samples
ï‚· A small variety of fabric scraps to produce the raw edge applique artwork
ï‚· Black thread
ï‚· Your usual sewing equipment, scissors etc
ï‚· Bondaweb
Please note that the workshop is held upstairs. Refreshments are included in the fee, please let us know if you have any dietary requirements. The workshops at LilyBoo have brought together people for a chat, to learn something new and there is always lots of laughter.
